Thomas Laurien (born 1968) qualified as a ship broker and then studied law at the Christian-Albrechts-University in Kiel, specializing in labor law. As a graduate lawyer he gained professional experience at two well-known shipping companies (liner agency and ocean carrier), as well as in an international Executive Search company.

In 2003, he joined Hertzog & Partner as a consultant and was promoted to partner in January 2011.

His main responsibilities are

• personnel consultation with focus on executive and specialist search, specializing in the field of maritime logistics and overseas transport business
• consultation of clients in the field of national and international maritime logistics services, such as shipping lines, port operators and overseas transport companies
• assistance to candidates looking for a new professional challenge in the field of maritime logistics
